KUCHING, SARAWAK TOUR PACKAGE

Day 01 Arrival – Kuching City & Shopping Tour
Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, meet and greet by our friendly representative and proceed for KUCHING CITY & SHOPPING TOUR. Kuching, the Capital of Sarawak, is a cosmopolitan city and this is reflected in the faces on the street. Its city centre is well preserved with ornate Chinese Temples, The Astana, City Tower, many fine examples of colonial-style architecture a beautiful waterfront and a number of interesting museums, including the famous Sarawak Museum & Cat Museum. Other places of interest include the famous landmark of the City, the Cat Monument, Market, Main Bazaar, China Town, Old State Mosque & etc. Proceed to HOMEMADE KEK LAPIS. The Sarawak layer cake is a well-loved local delicacy that is laborious and intricate to make but so delicious to eat. These colourful cakes also make great gifts to friends. Kuching is a good destination to shop for souvenir such as woodcarvings, “Pua Kumbu” with native design, Pepper products and Sarawak pottery. Sarawak bird’s nest and local products are some of the famous souvenirs which can be found in Kuching. Dinner is provided. After dinner, transfer to Hotel of your choice for check in and overnight.


















































Day 02 Serikin Shopping Tour – Sarawak Cultural Village(B)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, proceed for SERIKIN SHOPPING TOUR. Serikin, a town located on the Sarawak – Indonesia border, is a favourite destination for shoppers, especially very popular for those from Peninsula Malaysia and among our locals here. Situated in the Bau district, not far from Tasik Biru, it takes approximately 1 ½ hours to reach this town by road from Kuching city. On both sides of the road leading to Serikin, one can see vast tracts of empty land alternating with swathes of green jungle, as well as the homes of people from the Iban and Bidayuh communities. A small roadside police post indicates the arrival in Serikin. Stalls in Serikin only operate during the weekends, on every Saturdays & Sundays. Most of the products sold here are from Indonesia. The main attraction is the ability to bargain freely. The goods are neatly arranged within and outside the stalls that stretch up to two kilometers. And one can hunt for different types of merchandise such as the handicrafts, mats, rottan products, clothing, various type of textiles like batik, kain songkek and kebaya fittings with unique embroidery, woodcarving, handmade potteries, weaving, and crystals, memorabilia made from glass and storage containers and other endless items. Lunch is provided. After lunch, continue journey to visit Sarawak Cultural Village. Popularly known as the ‘Living Museum’, the Village is a showcase of a kaleidoscope of Sarawak’s cultures and traditions. On arrival, you will explore the 7 authentic replicas of ethnic houses. Chinese Farm House, Malay's Stilted House, Melanau Tall House, Penan Hut as well as Longhouse of the Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. Displayed in each house are the many artifacts made by the individual dwellers. Demonstration of arts and crafts like beadwork, wood and bamboo carvings, "Pua" weaving and straw weaving can be seen while touring the Village. You will also be entertained with 45 minutes of the traditional dances of the various ethnic tribes of Sarawak at the Village theatre. Dinner is provided. After dinner, transfer back to the Hotel for overnight.























Day 03 Departure – Kuching Airport
Breakfast at the hotel and free at leisure until check out from the hotel and transfer to Kuching International Airport for your flight back.

Day 02 Bako National Park (B / L / D)                                                                      
Breakfast at the hotel, morning check out from the hotel and proceed for BAKO NATIONAL PARK TOUR. Bako National Park, established since 1957, is the oldest and one of the most popular national parks in Sarawak. Situated about 37 km from Kuching City, the excursion takes about one and a half-hour by land and boat. With an area about 2,728 hectares, it offers the perfect introduction to Sarawak’s forest and wildlife. Unlike the other parks, visitors to Bako National Park are almost guaranteed to see wildlife such as long-tailed macaques, squirrels, white bearded pigs, silver leaf monkeys, etc. With 17 trails provided, ranging from 0.2 km to 5.75 km, you will almost find new experience in each different trail. You will be brought along the Teluk Paku trail. To spot the Proboscis monkey, species, which only can be found in Borneo Island, you will need to walk slowly, keep as quiet as possible, and listen out for sounds and movement along the way. In Bako National Park, you will also be able to view 7 different types of vegetations and forests from almost desert-like scrub or ‘padang’ to lowland dipterocarp forest. Take the trail to Teluk Pandan Kecil and you will find a lot of the carnivorous plants, pitcher plants, and you will also see the most famous rock formation at the end of the same trail. Lunch & Dinner is provided. Check in and overnight at the Bako national Park’s Resthouse.

Day 03 Departure - Kuching Airport (B / L)
After breakfast at the Park Canteen, continue for jungle trekking to explore others flora & fauna. Lunch is provided. Later afternoon, check out from the rest house and take a boat ride back to Bako Jetty. Transfer to Kuching International Airport for your departure flight.

Day 02 Semenggoh – Crocodile Farm – Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse - Sarawak Pottery Factory(B / L)              
Breakfast at the hotel, morning proceed to visit Semenggoh NATURE RESERVE, The reserve traveling overland (30 min) followed by a brief hike through dipterocarp forest. Unlike in a Zoo, the Orang Utans are set free in a 653-hectare forest reserve. Here, young Orang Utans, who were either orphaned or rescued from captivity, are trained to survive in the wild. The Sanctuary is not set up as a tourist attraction but visitors are most welcome. Upon arrival at the nature reserve, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the Orang Utans during their feeding time. Spot their delicate nests watch their skilful movements at the treetops and also their interesting behaviour during feeding time. The guide will also narrate to you the behaviour, emotion and characteristics of this special primate called Orang Utan, meaning ‘Man of the Forest’. Continue the journey to visit CROCODILE FARM & MINI ZOO. The farm set amidst tropical fruit trees and lush-greenery is a home to over 1,000 crocodiles. It serves as a perfect sanctuary to these fearsome reptiles where they are kept in an enclosure designed and built similar to the natural habitat of the reptiles. Apart from the crocodiles, explore the farm where other fascinating animals such as the bear cats, civets, deer, pythons & etc are found in the stated of Sarawak.Lunch is provided. After lunch, proceed to visit ANNAH RAIS BIDAYUH LONGHOUSE. Bidayuh, the second largest ethnic group in Sarawak, is formerly known as the ‘Land Dayak’ and was once also known as the ‘Engineer of Bamboo’. When making a visit to the Bidayuh longhouse, you will be able to see the splendid architecture of their longhouse, which were build mostly by bamboo. Annah Rais is one of the most famous Bidayuh longhouse in Sarawak, which located about 100 km east from Kuching City and quite close to the Indonesian border. The excursion will take about one and a half-hour on the road. During your visit, you will see the villagers doing their daily chore like rice pounding and winnowing, basket and mat weaving, bamboo carving, etc. You will be
brought into the most unique and important structure, the ‘Baruk’ or the head house, which situated in the middle of the longhouse. Enemy once used this as a fort to protect the whole village from being attack. Inside the ‘Baruk’, you will be able to view the real human skulls hanging around the fire place in the middle and the also their sacred war drum.En route stop over at SARAWAK POTTERY FACTORY. You will be fascinated by the delicate and creative work involves by the skillful artists.
